Our Story

As the practice of workplace safety management continues to develop in Bangladesh, there’s a growing recognition of the need to create a sustainable culture of safety.

We’re proud to partner with our member companies and participating factories to invest in people, create sustainable safety systems, and refine approaches for continuous improvement as the industry grows and changes.

Nirapon began in 2018 to advance the work of the Alliance for Bangladesh Worker Safety, an initiative led by global brands and experts in fire, electrical, and building safety that helped hundreds of factories achieve required engineering standards following the deadly Rana Plaza building collapse in 2013. That process brought the factories to the starting line of safety. To maintain these improvements and develop a self-sustaining culture of workplace safety in Bangladesh, members of the Alliance founded Nirapon.

Today, we work with our members to further their roles in promoting safety, systems, and education that helps factories mitigate risk and prevent accidents.
