Sridevi Kalavakolanu is Senior Director, Ethics & Compliance at Walmart Sourcing, responsible for the strategy and implementation of global programs in multi-disciplinary compliance areas that advance the dignity of workers in the supply chain and promote a culture of ethics and integrity in the business. She has over two decades of experience in designing, developing, and managing responsible sourcing and supply chain compliance programs across omnichannel retail. Her previous experiences include managing program transition from audit to capacity building and leading the launch of Responsible Sourcing and Labor & Employment programs at Flipkart. She has also steered the implementation of key corporate initiatives including the Women in Factories Training Program that reached over 100,000 women workers in supply chains globally and the Alliance for Bangladesh Worker Safety that established comprehensive safety assessment and training programs benefiting more than 1.4 million workers.
Sridevi’s previous experience includes consulting and training for a range of companies in the apparel, footwear, automobile, and energy sectors at Business for Social Responsibility (BSR) in San Francisco and promoting social enterprise at Ashoka: Innovators for the Public in Washington, DC.
Sridevi holds a Master’s degree in International Affairs from Columbia University, a Bachelor’s degree in Japanese from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, and was a Monbusho Scholar at Tohoku University, Sendai, Japan.
